We’re a small, values-driven, fully remote team that builds websites and applications for nonprofits and mission-driven organizations. Our work is grounded in collaboration, accessibility, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact.

This application is designed to help us understand how you think, work, and approach problems—not just what tools you’ve used. Some questions are reflective, others are practical.

It should take approximately 25–35 minutes to complete. Please note, the deadline for applications is April 24th at 12 pm ET.

SECTION 1: Motivation & Alignment

7. You are redesigning a homepage for a nonprofit that serves multiple audiences (e.g., people seeking support, donors, and partner organizations). How would you approach structuring the page to meet different needs without overwhelming users?

8. Tell us about a time when you made or contributed to a design decision you later reconsidered. What did you learn?

9. How do you approach accessibility during the design phase (before development begins)?

10. Have you worked with reusable components or design systems (in Figma or code)? If yes: how did you use them? If no: how would you approach creating reusable design patterns?

11. Describe a recent WordPress project where you had to go beyond out-of-the-box functionality. What did you build, and why?

12. When building a WordPress site, how do you decide between using a plugin, customizing an existing solution, or building something from scratch?

13. Tell us about a time you worked with a legacy system or messy codebase. How did you approach it?
