Website Design & Development
Your website is usually where someone decides whether you can help them. That decision gets made in seconds, often by a person who is stressed, on a phone, and not in the mood to hunt through a menu.
We build sites that answer the question the visitor actually came with. Clear paths to services, plain language, and a quick exit where the subject matter calls for one. Your staff can update the content themselves, and the site is built to still be standing in five years.

Custom Web Applications
Some problems don’t have a plugin. A province-wide directory of gender-based violence services that has to stay current across hundreds of organizations. An intake system that handles volume without stripping the dignity out of the process for a tenant facing eviction. A database your program staff use every day.
We build intake systems, directories, portals, and internal tools — some as standalone applications built with Laravel, some built into WordPress using custom post types and structured content. We start with the problem, then choose the platform. Whatever we choose, it’s built to be handed over — documented, maintainable, and yours.

Accessibility
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA on every project. That work is in the scope and in the price of every build, and we don’t quote sites without it.
For organizations with existing sites, we do audits, remediation, and ongoing monitoring — to the standard AODA requires, or to 2.2 AA if you want to go further. We test with assistive technology rather than relying only on automated scans, because automated scans miss the things that actually stop people.
Accessibility is a design decision, and it’s less expensive and most effective when it’s made early.

Digital Strategy & SEO
A good site doesn’t help if the people who need it can’t find it, or if it isn’t connected to a plan for how your organization shows up online.
We help with scoping and requirements before a project starts, including telling you when the thing you’re asking for isn’t the thing you need. Through the build and after launch, we work on content strategy, information architecture, search visibility, and analytics setup that produces numbers your team can actually use.

Graphic Design
Your visual identity does work before anyone reads a word of your copy. For nonprofits and public sector organizations, it signals whether you’re credible and whether you’re safe.
We design logos and brand identity systems, marketing and print materials, social media assets, and the visual layer of the digital products we build. Colour, contrast, and typography are chosen to meet accessibility standards from the start, so the brand works for everyone who encounters it.

Training and Support
Nonprofit and public sector teams turn over. The person we train in March may not be the person updating the site in November.
So we train your staff to run the site themselves, and we document it. Guides and recorded sessions stay with you, which means your next hire can get up to speed without waiting on our calendar.
When something does need us, you reach someone who already knows your project. Support and maintenance continue for as long as you want them.

Secure Hosting
Many of our clients handle information about people in crisis. Where that data lives matters.
We provide managed hosting through FullHost, a Canadian provider, so your data stays in Canada under Canadian privacy law. Environments are monitored, patched, backed up, and maintained, so most problems are caught and fixed before they reach you.

IT Professional Services
For public sector organizations and larger nonprofits, we take on project-based technology work: discovery and requirements, business analysis, digital project delivery, and technical advisory support.
This work is available under our OECM IT Project-Based Professional Services agreement and Supply Ontario’s I&IT Solutions Consulting Services Agreement.
And the rest
We also build e-commerce, donation and event registration systems, membership management, and online fundraising tools. And we maintain legacy ColdFusion applications — fewer and fewer firms will touch them, and we still do. If you’re not sure whether something falls inside what we do, let’s talk about it.
The tools we use
WordPress for most sites, and for applications where the content and the tool belong in the same place. PHP and Laravel where an application needs to stand on its own. JavaScript and React where the interface has to do real work in the browser.
We choose tools your team can maintain after we hand them over. That rules out a lot of interesting technology.
